If your children are attracted to the safe art they will enjoy in this gallery designed especially for them. PLOM Gallery is a small art gallery for children in Barcelona, in the neighborhood of Gracia, where you can contemplate (and buy) different works.
It is an initiative of the Martha Zimmerman, agent of illustrators and mother, born with the main objective of instilling in the smallest of the house the love of art, understanding it as a tool for training and human development.
The gallery has recently opened its doors, and the first exhibition that can be seen (also online) is titled "The super powers of art". We will find original contemporary works of art and limited series of painting and illustration.
In this way the world of art, traditionally focused on adults, is approached to children. Although in times of crisis the purchase of art may also suffer, I find it interesting to be able to see the works that are exhibited here, as a museum.
We will be attentive, because in this space they also plan to create workshops and other initiatives that allow children to interact and create themselves.
The contemporary art gallery for children PLOM Gallery open Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Those parents who wish may make the child become a small collector, buying the pieces that are delivered with a certificate of authenticity in his name.
