Visual learners presents the "Learn" collection, developed especially for children with autism

If yesterday we told you that tomorrow is the International Children's Book and Youth Day, today we must tell you that April 2 is a doubly marked party. It is because we also have World Autism Awareness Day, and related celebrations 'dress' in blue: balloons, bows, and other distinctive elements.

So we will also mention during the day on Wednesday, but today I wanted to present a project that has managed to combine both celebrations. It's about the Aprende Collection, of which the first five stories have been published, in digital format, free of charge and under a Creative Commons license (to reach all interested parties).

It is an initiative of Visual Learners, a non-profit organization created to generate tools that develop the potential of each child. His work has been awarded the UNICEF Emprende 2013 awards

As I said, the collection meets the objectives of April 2: they are stories for children, and They are specially developed for children with autism, serving other learning difficulties in the same way, as well as children pre readers. You already know that the correct attention of children with autism at an early age can determine their subsequent development.

Now you can freely dispose of them on the web, and in the coming weeks they will also be in interactive format (for Iphone and Ipad). The complete collection consists of 15 stories focused on the learning of personal autonomy: self-care, routines and emotions; and they are structured in a simple way for a correct understanding.

The project has been supported by the Orange Foundation, from which they are dedicated great efforts to support all people with autism spectrum disorders. Thus, it is committed to technology to improve its quality of life.
