The book "Traveling with children" for traveling families (and for those that will be)

Today on Book Day we talk about a guide for future traveling families and for those who have just begun in the adventure of traveling with children, a whole experience in which we can be more or less experts, but about which there is always something to learn.

And it is what it teaches us the book “Traveling with children”: the manual to prepare your family vacations, with many reflections and practical data to undertake the trip.

You know that nobody said that traveling with the children was easy, but how many satisfactions it gives us in the end, on the side of the scale that weighs the most. From this side the authors of the book, expert travelers and bloggers, show us not only that traveling with the kids is a possible experience, but that it can be fascinating.

I loved the section of “The world as a school”, which lists the advantages of traveling with children, ideal to comment among those who point out, as bad agorers, that it is a fruitless task. Required reading for those who doubt whether or not it is possible to travel with children.

And yes, our children learn a lot traveling (and we), which turns our family trips into fun learning.

Reference is also made to others practical issues such as the theme of sleep and travel meals. From what I know of my conversations with parents who do not decide to travel, it is one of the issues that most concern and here it is explained how it is not so difficult if we adapt to the rhythms of the children.

The “Documentation” and “Health” section is very useful, with all the information about the steps to follow to travel with the children and prevent discomfort and illness in the destinations.

Regarding the “Baggage” chapter, it will also serve first-time parents in this travel, although I personally believe that we pack much lighter than what they suggest… But, as the authors point out, the guide does not pretend to be “the Bible ”But a base that everyone adapts to their own family and way of travel.

Pregnant women also have their space in the book, with advice and information on the different quarters or means of transport most suitable for travel. Also in the times that run the advice to minimize expenses are useful to us.

We also found a note dedicated to the trips of single-parent families and I would have liked to find also the case that one of the parents travels only with the son or children (without separation from the parents), an experience that I recommend.

It is not that there are too many differences in the process of preparation or the development of the trip, but there are nuances and even certain advantages (beyond the obvious decrease in the price, less people).

But any way of traveling finds answers and advice to enjoy a rewarding experience in our destination, and that is what I liked about the manual for preparing family vacations. If you want to know more about the authors or the structure of the book you can see what I have written in Traveler's Diary.
