Looking for a travel cot ?: we tried the 'light' model of Babybjörn

One of the things that are not usually on the list of things you need when you have a baby is a travel cot. Nowadays it is easy to find a cot in hotels, so in theory it is not a priority purchase. However, in my case it was, because I usually go on a trip to places where I don't always have one available (in fact at the moment I am on the other side of the ocean and I have had to bring it). Mine is Babybjörn's light travel cot and as I have done with the things that I have used, Today I tell you my experience with her.

Babybjörn qualifies it as a light and practical crib. I was already familiar with her because the hammock my baby uses is of the same brand and obviously her designs follow the same line. These are products with a modern, minimalist look and with top quality raw materials.

The cradle includes a carrying case and a mattress Although it is not very thick, it is comfortable and sufficient for the baby to rest.

My experience with the cradle of Babybjörn

At first glance it looks like a small suitcase with a handle, so it is not difficult to transport it, it is also quite light (only weighs 6 kilos). The assembly has no major complication: it opens until it is fixed and the mattress is placed. In spite of how compact it may seem, the truth is that it is wide (the mattress measures 60 x 105 x 4 cm), and is quite firm.

The sides of the travel cot are made of a soft and translucent net fabric. Since the baby can breathe perfectly through the tissue, you don't have to worry if your little face is near the sides of the crib. One of the things I like most is that this fabric allows you to watch your baby at the same time that he can look through it.

Another feature that attracts attention is that the bottom of the crib is very close to the ground. For me that has a positive and a negative part: The positive is that it can be used at home as a park, issue that makes you end up paying off completely.

The part that I do not like very much is that when the baby is very small it seems that it is too close to the surface ... I released it when my daughter was less than 2 months old and although I did not see that it affected her at all, yes I had to lean a lot to get it, so it's something to keep in mind.

Despite the above I like it very much and soon I will start using it as a park, so it will stop being useful only in travel. If you are traveling a lot and are thinking of getting one, this is definitely an option to consider.
