Futbolín (Metegol) by Campanella is a film to value the camaraderie of football

As we had intuited FootballI like the original title of Metegol, follow the line that marked Break Ralph! of vindication of the life of the 80s in Spain in which a neighborhood spirit, closeness, of the camaraderie atmosphere of the town and that the director probably lived in his childhood in a country in some town in Argentina like the one that can be seen in the film.

The movie has moments of great beauty and excitement in which you enjoy football although then he presents some stories that seem to distract or disentangle the whole, especially the life of the crack that more than the enemy of Amadeo, the protagonist, they present it to us so that we hate all the spectators. And that is never done to an evil character because there is no way to empathize with him and it is diluted on the screen. At the end of the movie it does show its true nature although it is too late, even for him because in the end you can see that the managers are the real winners. That is what we have talked about in Peques and Más in several articles in 2013, such as the one with the Black Diamonds or I want to be Messi set in Argentina.

In any case, the film presents some table football players led by the captain, and who exercises as such throughout the projection dominating the values, respecting, enforcing and with great authority over the players of his team. Every time the captain comes out on the screen, he fills it and you're looking forward to seeing what he does. In Blog of cinema they have put a link to a YouTube video in which you can listen, narrated in Argentina from Argentina and with an extraordinary rhythm and passion for ten minutes, reading the story in which this fantastic character is inspired. For the children of my generation it is the spirit that we have seen in many playgrounds especially in the great finals and tournaments of the great selections or football clubs of the world.

As we said the first time Fubolin is a story that recovers children's values that we like parents who practice and know our children: honesty, solidarity, effort, love, passion and respect. And when the film departs from that, it loses a lot and it is not clear where it leads. In any case, the final match is full of details, especially the one that throws the ball over the field with the lead players attached to it.

I really like the essence of the football with the lead figures, heavy, solid and very consistent handling the ball. In Spain there are many lead football tables although it seems to me that the one that has triumphed the most has been that of wood. Seeing Amadeo driving the table football is another moment that takes us to childhood and to enjoy the game as entertainment with no more pretensions than to have fun.

I recommend that children who play football with a lot of passion and dedication every week go to see it with their parents and look at the simple values that are transmitted. And of course, I recommend learning that what the Crack lives is something anecdotal and very difficult to achieve, and it is not desirable to become undesirable.
