Recipe for dairy cows cookies to make with children

When I am with my nieces I love to make cookies. They have a great time kneading and cutting and then I'm calm because I know they are going to eat very well. This weekend I was doing a dairy cow cookie recipe to make with children And they had such a good time, I recommend you make this recipe when you have the chance.

If you don't find dairy cow cutters, -or of Osborne bull or similar- you can make any other animal, making leopards, giraffes or any other with the same technique. They will enjoy it anyway.

Ingredients for 8 people

  • For the cookie dough: (Some 30 units come out) 400g of flour, 275g of butter, 125g of glass sugar, 1 egg, salt
  • For him glazed: 2 egg whites and 60g of glass sugar
  • For decorate, chocolate chips or droplets

How to make dairy cow cookies with children

Mix the sugar with the butter that we will have left out of the refrigerator at least an hour before so that it is soft. We incorporate the flour and a pinch of salt and form a dough. The children will have a great time touching this dough that at the beginning is slightly sticky. (Tip, do not overdo it, just enough to make the dough)

We form a ball and let it rest in the fridge for at least thirty minutes. We put the dough between two sulfurized baking papers and stretch it with a rolling pin. With the help of the children we cut the cookies, placing them on a baking sheet.

While we preheat the oven to 200º, we put the cookies in the freezer so that they keep their shape. We bake the cookies for about 15 to 20 minutes, watching to take them out when they start to brown. We let them cool on a rack to harden.

For decoration, we prepare a glaze beating the whites with the sugar glas and when the cookies are cold, we put them lightly in the glaze to dye them white. Without waiting for the glaze to solidify, we put some chocolate droplets spread over cows to simulate their spots.
