"María's trip": an animated short film about autism made by a dad

Autism. A more or less serious disorder of the general development of children, which affects their socialization, communication, the way of expressing emotions, the way of feeling, acting, etc. that many parents give us enough respect for fear that one of our children will suffer.

Autistic children are different, very different from others and, in a world where the difference is poorly seen, these children are often poorly accepted and poorly understood by society, and awareness and normalization campaigns are necessary to know the disease and know How are these children?

This is what the Orange Foundation is doing that, trying to bring autism closer to the population so that more and more people know what people with this disease are like, the short film has produced "María's trip", by Miguel Gallardo, father of a daughter with autism.

The short film has been awarded the Cibermax Prize for Culture in the third edition of CSR at Scene and from the Orange Foundation they talk about the short film as follows:

A small excursion to the inner world of a teenager with autism; a trip full of color, love, creativity and originality, born in the journey of parents who see how their daughter behaves in a special way, until confirming the diagnosis: autism.

I recommend that you see it and then explain your reactions to us. It has enchanted me. It is a hard short film, because you put yourself in the skin of the parents and imagine the inner strength they must get from anywhere to live with an autistic daughter, but in the same way you imagine the love they get to feel for her and the naturalness with the one that they live the situation, fruit of accepting the situation and above all to understand the singularity of their daughter, something that is noticed by how they narrate Maria's trip.
