One of the concerns that we parents have is that our children eat the clay, the truth is that at first glance anyone would put it in their mouths, due to its texture and smell ... today I will leave you a recipe for making natural homemade plasticine, which, although it is not edible, is not toxic, and if a child ingests a plasticine ball, it is most likely that spitting it out is extremely salty and spitting would be a fully automatic reaction, but in no case would it be harmful to your health it is made with edible ingredients.

How to make homemade plasticine with children

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup flour

  • 3/4 cup fine salt

  • 1 1/2 cup of water

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 1/2 tablespoon cream of tartar (pastry shops and online)

  • Food dyes (pastry shops and online)

  • Food glitter (pastry shops and online)

Prepare the plasticine

1. Mix all ingredients except dyes and glitter
in a large bowl with the help of a wooden spoon until there are no lumps.
2. With the help of an adult, we put the mixture in a saucepan over low heat and stir for about 6 minutes, it is difficult because the dough becomes a hard and thick paste, with the wooden spoon you can press and turn it around so that it is done on all sides.

3. We leave it on a plate so that cool for about 5-10 minutes.
4. Once it is cold, we separate it into different balls and put some dye with the help of a wooden stick in each one.
For coloring the plasticine we have to twist the dough with the dye until it is uniform.
5. You can to experience with colors, combine some of them, put white ... it will be like an experiment.
