Save all the drawings your children make with the Artkive application

My daughter keeps her pace of growth and is changing the drawings made at home or at school for activities that require an effort according to her age. Still we still have a lot of drawings from when I was little, in case one day, when I grow up much more, you want to see them and laugh with them. I think there are fathers and mothers who keep absolutely everything that their little one generates since she was born, so an application like this one Artkive It can be a blessing.

And is that Artkive is an application for mobile that has been in the market for a month and that serves to save, classify and share the drawings made by the kids on an Apple device. It is designed for the iPhone but also works on the iPad and iPod Touch. It is currently free, so be careful to download it before they charge for it. With ArtKive, drawings can be saved by identifying a name and including more information such as the course, age, theme, etc. and share them with friends who also have the application. In the video below you can see that they can be stored in a book if necessary.

This is a demonstration video of the application with a good dose of theatricality to make the application more attractive to parents who may feel guilty of stealing childhood from the child throwing their creations in the trash every day:

The operation of the application is very simple:

  • The child's drawing is photographed with the camera of the Apple device (it is planned to develop for other operating systems)
  • The image is marked and classified with tags
  • The image is shared with other people or can be sent for printing on everyday items or objects

It seemed to me an application of the most functional and with a barbaric utility. It is one of those applications that over time can become other things and that its greatness is in the use that we are able to make with it. For example, for a class of children it can be a tool to share with the parents the images created by the children in the classroom or to keep them in the school in the student's file. What do you think?
